As communicated last week, Rochdale Football Club have recognised a rapid decline in the Crown Oil Arena pitch since the end of December, which is not conducive to playing our style of football on.
As an immediate course of action, a decision has been made by the Board of Directors to relay the pitch. This is to ensure the safety of the players and to ensure the pitch is at a high standard and quality for the remainder of the season.
Premier Pitches – the UK and Europe’s leading sport turf contractors - have been appointed to carry out the work, and they moved on site earlier this week. Work is already underway to ensure the pitch is ready for next Saturday’s game against Charlton Athletic.
